Made it to my destination last night and checked into one of the possible locations for Camp Kyushu. Currently I'm staying in a single dorm style room. Single bed, bath, tv and thankfully an air conditioner. It is hot and really humid. Oh and here are tons of crabs that scurry into hiding as you walk down some of the streets. I've tried to get a good picture but they are like ninjas.
Then after checking in, I went off to find my former student Keith. This took about an hour and some change to do. You know how when you're a student, your teachers ways get after you to read instructions, etc. well, I didn't follow my own advice. It should've been less than 1/2 the time That's what I get for not reading carefully the message he had sent me. However, I did get a great walk....about 4 miles.
Keith is working at a brat restaurant and also manages it. So, dinner was brats.....Johnsonville Brats, imported from the US. So we sat around a d caught up on what he's been up to.
Later we caught up with Ashley who had gotten back from camp. We talked a bit then called it a night because we will be going to Nagasaki today.
As an aside, some of you might have met them when they visited me last December at Rock Bridge.
Oh and later this morning I will be meeting Guy and talking about Camp Kyushu.
